American Idol was only the beginning for me. It opened doors for my career that I would have never been able to open on my own. I’ve always been a singer, but more importantly a dreamer and a believer. My dream is to be able to sing anywhere, but my biggest dream is to sing at Madison Square Garden and I refuse to give up until I get there. I love talking with kids about following their dreams and I make sure they know to dream huge, not big, but HUGE.
One of the first artist that inspired me to take my singing to the next level was Lauren Alaina. I can remember watching her on American Idol and instantly knowing I wanted to follow in her footsteps. Sometimes people say I remind them of her, and that is one of the greatest compliments I could receive because it reminds me how far I’ve come on my journey and that success like Lauren’s is within my reach. Some other musicians that have inspired me are Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince, Kelsea Ballerini and Kellie Pickler. I look up to these people because they are so amazing and courageous. I know from watching these people that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, I was born to sing.
My favorite part about making music is that I get to do what I love. I get to make people smile, and inspire people all over the world to always follow their dreams no matter what. That is all I ever want from the music business. I’m not worried about the fortune and fame, I just want to show people that anything is possible and if this small town girl can do it, ANYONE can do it!
My family is from a little small town called Raywick in the heart of Kentucky. You know, it’s one of those towns where everybody knows everybody. We are as country as they come, I’m talking cowgirl boots and all that. I would not be where I am today without the endless support of my family. These are the people that keep me grounded, humble, and never let me lose sight of my dream.
I have two beautiful little sisters named Jaycee and Dyxie that love to sing with me any chance they get. All 3 of us live with our amazing Mom, Chasity and we are all best friends since it’s just us girls. My momma is my biggest inspiration because she sets a great example for all of us and always encourages us to chase what we want in life. She always says that we are a team, and I can’t think of a better way to describe our little family. If it wasn’t for her and my sisters, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do now. I am so lucky to have my friends and family as my support system and backbone. These are the people that keep me singing even on my darkest of days and I wouldn’t trade them for the world, or even for some Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Every morning when I wake up, I am reminded that I am the luckiest girl in the world because I am surrounded with the most genuine, caring, and sparkly fans. There is no better feeling than when I look into the crowd and see all y’alls sweet faces. I love when I get stopped on the street to take a picture, when I get to meet some of you after my shows, and especially when y’all leave the sweetest comments on my Instagram. My fans motivate me not only to be the best most sparkly performer, but also to never lose sight of where I came from. Wherever this crazy life takes me, I know the Springers will be right by my side and because that, I am beyond blessed.
